Dear Julia,
Succession Day marks a significant transition for Yangjia Michuan Taijiquan as a whole, and for all of us who know you. Even though your sense of loss as well as your connection with Master Wang will always be a part of you, Succession Day officially ends your three year mourning period. Consistent with tradition, you have used this period to honor the memory of your beloved teacher and to also complete your internal preparation to become his successor. These last three years, in combination with all that you have learned and experienced throughout your entire life, form the foundation for who you will be as the 5th Generation Lineage Holder for Yangjia Michuan Taijiquan. Even though I have only known you for a few months, I cannot imagine anyone better suited for this role.
Please accept my respect and best wishes on this special occasion.
